"I also use a blade grinder, it's a Krups. I grind it a total of 9 seconds,
in three 3 second intervals. I've always heard that grinding longer than about 5
sec with a blade grinder overheats the beans. I don't know if it's true or not;
I figured it's not that much more trouble to break it down into intervals with a
brief rest inbetween. I use three 5 sec intervals for drip. I suspect the
volume of beans in the grinder may have some effect on grinding times, but I
always grind the same amount so I don't really know."
"for indian spices I find the Krups coffee grinder does the best job. to
clean I brush it out with a pastry brush and I do run a little soap and
water in it to clean it. I just let it dry a good 24 hours before using
it again."
"I just use a Krups coffee grinder. I was given two for Christmas once.
One I use for spices and stuff...and the other for coffee! It works
fabulous - expecially when making pesto!"
